La Vergne Rental Property

Settled in 1852 and first incorporated in 1860, La Vergne is located between Antioch and Smyrna, and is bordered to the North by J. Priestly Lake. Access to recreation and the presence of several employers make La Vergne a popular destination for newcomers. A number of international companies are headquartered here, including Waldenbooks, Bridgestone, Ingram Books and Entertainment, Thompson Machinery, Whirlpool, and Hollywood Video. The considerable revenue collected from these multi-billion dollar firms allows the city to provide residents with some of Tennessee's finest public schools, while simultaneously keeping property taxes among the state's lowest.

Thanks to the low property taxes, good schools, and an abundance of employers, housing in La Vergne is considered to be among Tennessee's most desirable places to live. Although the town is home to the 3,100 home Lake Forest Estates, the state's largest subdivision, there are a wide variety of homes to choose from. Quality housing can generally be obtained for as low as $995/mo, though some pricier estates may run as high as $3,000/mo. These latter rental homes, however, are quite spacious and often feature desirable extras, such as a spa or swimming pool. It is also possible to find lakefront property on the outskirts of town, though the majority of La Vergne's residents live inside the city limits.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, La Vergne is Tennessee's fastest growing city. More than 27,000 people now call this small metropolis home. Yet even though it has seen a great deal of growth over the past decade, La Vergne is not a congested community. La Vergne has its own school system, one that generally receives very high marks from the state board of education. With an abundance of good jobs and other quality of life indicators, La Vergne enjoys near zero unemployment and relatively low crime rates. If you're looking to live outside the Nashville city limits but still want access to modern convenience, you owe it to yourself to see why so many people have chosen to settle here. Fun fact: The town takes its name from a Frenchman, Francois de la Vergne, who settled here in the late 18th Century.
